QR Templates

Design custom QR code materials for your service points. The template editor lets you create branded designs that include your QR code, logo, text, and decorative elements — then export print-ready images for every table, counter, or station.

How It Works

  1. You create a template in the visual editor
  2. The template includes a QR Code Placeholder that marks where the QR code will appear
  3. When you export, OKeep generates a separate image for each service point with its actual QR code and name filled in
  4. You print and place the materials at your locations

Opening the Template Editor

From the Service Points Page

  1. Go to Service Points in the CRM
  2. Click the Print QR button on any service point
  3. If a template already exists, you will see a preview with an Edit Template button
  4. If no template exists yet, click Create Template to open the editor

Canvas Presets

When creating a new template, choose a canvas size that matches where you plan to display the QR code:

PresetDimensionsBest For
Square1080 x 1080 pxSocial media posts, table stickers
Portrait1080 x 1920 pxTall displays, wall posters, table tents
Landscape1920 x 1080 pxWide displays, counter signage

You can always adjust the canvas size later in the editor.

Adding Elements

The editor supports five element types. Use the toolbar to add them to your canvas.

Text

Add headings, descriptions, or instructions (e.g., "Scan to Order").

  • Font family: Choose from 10 fonts — Inter, Roboto, Open Sans, Montserrat, Poppins, Playfair Display, Oswald, Raleway, Lato, PT Sans
  • Font size: Adjust to any size
  • Weight: Normal, Semi-Bold, or Bold
  • Color: Any color
  • Alignment: Left, Center, or Right
  • Line height: Control spacing between lines

Images

Add your logo, background photos, or decorative graphics from your Asset Library.

  • Fit mode: Choose how the image fills its frame
    • Cover — fills the entire frame, may crop edges
    • Contain — fits entirely within the frame, may leave gaps
    • Fill — stretches to fill the frame exactly
  • Corner radius: Round the corners for a softer look

Shapes

Add rectangles or ellipses as decorative backgrounds, dividers, or accent elements.

  • Shape type: Rectangle or Ellipse
  • Fill color: Any color
  • Corner radius: Available for rectangles to create rounded corners

QR Code Placeholder

This is the most important element. It marks where the actual QR code will appear when you export.

  • Only one QR Code Placeholder is allowed per template
  • In the editor, it displays as a "QR" preview
  • On export, it is replaced with the real, scannable QR code for each service point
  • Foreground color: Change the QR code color (default is black)
  • Background color: Change the area behind the QR code (default is white)
  • Corner radius: Round the corners of the QR code block

Name Placeholder

Displays the service point name (e.g., "Table 1", "Terrace A") automatically on export.

  • In the editor, it shows with a dashed border so you can see its boundaries
  • On export, it is replaced with the actual name of each service point
  • Supports the same font properties as Text: font family, size, weight, color, alignment, and line height

Setting the Background

Every template has a background layer. You can set it to:

  • Solid color — pick any color
  • Image — select a photo or graphic from your Asset Library

Working with Elements

Selecting and Moving

  • Click an element to select it
  • Drag to move it around the canvas
  • Click an empty area of the canvas to deselect

Resizing and Rotating

  • Drag the corner handles to resize
  • Use the rotation handle (above the element) to rotate

Element Properties

Every element has these common properties, available in the properties panel when selected:

PropertyDescription
Position (X, Y)Exact pixel coordinates on the canvas
Size (W, H)Width and height in pixels
RotationAngle in degrees
OpacityTransparency from 0 (invisible) to 1 (fully visible)
VisibleToggle to show or hide the element
LockedToggle to prevent accidental edits

Layer Order

Elements stack on top of each other. Control the stacking order with these actions:

  • Bring to Front — move the element above all others
  • Send to Back — move the element behind all others
  • Move Up — move the element one layer up
  • Move Down — move the element one layer down

Duplicate and Delete

  • Duplicate — create a copy of the selected element
  • Delete — remove the selected element from the canvas

Keyboard Shortcuts

ShortcutAction
Ctrl + SSave template
Ctrl + ZUndo last change
Ctrl + Shift + Z or Ctrl + YRedo

The editor keeps up to 30 undo steps, so you can freely experiment and roll back.

Saving Your Template

  • Press Ctrl + S or click the Save button
  • The template is saved to your merchant profile
  • If you try to close the editor with unsaved changes, you will be prompted to save or discard

Exporting and Printing

Once your template is saved, you can export QR code images for your service points.

Single Service Point

  1. Go to Service Points
  2. Click Print QR on the service point you want
  3. The preview shows your template with the actual QR code and service point name filled in
  4. Download the image

Bulk Export

To generate QR images for multiple service points at once:

  1. Go to Service Points
  2. Select the service points you want using the checkboxes
  3. Click Print Selected
  4. A ZIP file is downloaded containing one image per selected service point

Each exported image is rendered at full resolution with:

  • The QR Code Placeholder replaced by the actual scannable QR code
  • The Name Placeholder replaced by the service point's name (e.g., "Table 1")

Design Tips

  • Keep QR codes large enough to scan — at least 3 cm (1.2 inches) when printed
  • Use high contrast for the QR code — dark foreground on light background works best
  • Leave padding around the QR code so scanners can detect it easily
  • Test your design by exporting one image and scanning it with a phone before printing in bulk
  • Include a call-to-action like "Scan to Order" near the QR code so customers know what to do
  • Match your brand — use your logo, brand colors, and fonts for a professional look
  • Use Portrait for table tents and tall displays, Square for stickers and social media

Example Template Layout

A typical table tent design might include:

  1. Background — your brand color or a subtle image
  2. Logo (Image) — at the top, centered
  3. Heading (Text) — "Scan to Order" in bold
  4. QR Code Placeholder — centered, large enough to scan
  5. Name Placeholder — below the QR code, showing the table name
  6. Footer (Text) — your restaurant name or WiFi password
